Not amazing by any means, but it was refreshing to see the girl being the distant one in a relationship for a change. It’s a sad state when an actress of Natalie Portman’s status takes a role like this because it’s “refreshing” when it’s not like it’s reinventing the wheel.
Mindy Kaling was great in this as well. And really, it was an enjoyable watch. But, it’s definitely something you can turn your brain off to.
I want a “period mix” of my own now.
